Madeline's love of food began at an early age. Her family,
being of Italian heritage, realized the importance of food and
family. No opportunity was missed to gather the family around
the table, whether for a simple family meal or a Holiday
feast. As a child, she was always encouraged to help with
culinary chores and delighted in doing so!
After attending college and working in the corporate world, she
realized the need to make a change in her life. Her passion
for food and entertaining was always a great source of
enjoyment. She quit her job, attended school at the Culinary
Center of New York and apprenticed at a restaurant in Lambertville,
NJ for several years. During this time, she and
her husband searched for an Inn in New England, where she could
realize the full potential of her culinary skills. In
1996 they purchased the Meadowbrook Inn in Vermont. They
lovingly restored and upgraded the Inn and reopened the 46 seat
restaurant for public dining. As chef/owner, Madeline cooked
both breakfast and dinner for guests at the Inn. Several of
her recipes
have been featured in Yankee Magazine.
The birth of their son, Alex, has brought her family back to
New Jersey so that he may have the opportunity to grow up with his
extended family nearby.
Madeline welcomes the opportunity to share her passion for
